The Opinion

Robert Kramer is a single-person band. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's not. "Blood On The Full Moon" provides examples of both sides of the spectrum. On some of the tracks, the listener wouldn't know it was just one guy. Most of the time, however, the songs are a bit sterile and are lacking energy.

But that doesn't make this a bad album by any means. It just makes it a little unfortunate. Robert Kramer is an extremely talented musician, but where he really shines is his songwriting. He has a total grasp on what it takes to craft a rock-pop song. There's not a single song on the album that couldn't be a great song. They could just benefit from the added energy and input that other musicians could bring to them.

In addition to being an excellent songwriter, Robert also displays producing prowess on the album. The sound he achieves aids in the delivery of the songs. At times, almost making up for the deficit in energy. If this album were re-recorded with additional musicians and Robert Kramer producing, the listener couldn't help but be enthralled.

Nutshell Review

Robert Kramer writes some really good songs that really need a full band to realize their potential.
