The Opinion

Do you love 80s metal? Have you been pining away for the reunification of such timeless classic metal bands like Warrant, Ratt, or Skid Row? Do you believe that the evolution of popular music peaked somewhere around May 1986? If the answer is yes to any one of these questions, then I Love Rich is a band that you probably should look into.

I Love Rich’s modestly named release “The Greatest Rock & Roll Record of All Time” will take you right back to the days when a guy with a perm could walk around in stone washed jeans and easily fit in at any local mall. This album is straight-up, no chaser, hard rock & roll. It’s bursting with adolescent, testosterone driven lyrics and laden with party-all-night-long attitude. These guys are completely straightforward in their songwriting as well. With such songs as “World’s Greatest Lover”, “You Want My Action”, “Gonna Gonna Get Some”, “Feel the Heat”, “Touch My Sexx”, and “Doctor Tung”, it shouldn’t take a neurosurgeon to discover what’s on this band’s mind.

This album may not be for everyone. It seems fairly well aimed at one particular niche market. But, if you’ve been longing for a hard rocking band that will give a voice to all that pent up sexual aggression, have at it, my man. This is the band for you.

Nutshell Review

A hard rocking throwback to 80’s metal with songwriting reminiscent of a horny Spinal Tap or KISS.
