Tracking The Sasquatch

Following the break up of the Fountainhead founding members: Walter Allen Clifford IV and Patrick Joseph Auclair moved to Chicago from Augusta, Georgia. They began their search for a percussionist and vocalist to pursue new territory in their already established sound. Justin Cape also relocated to Chicago from New Orleans, and began searching for like-minded musicians. Walter, Patrick and Justin met up in January 2001. The trio rehearsed, recorded, wrote and auditioned vocalists for another year before recruiting Torin Williams in January 2002. Torin's vocal range, knowledge of music theory, and jazz composition served as the final element in the band's undertaking. Their sound is a fusion of rock, metal and jazz, delivered in an intense format. Although each member's influences are drawn upon, the collective focus is on a progressive, yet unpretentious approach to rock music, rivaling the angst-ridden "nu-metal" and arrogant rap-rock attitude that currently dominates the scene.
