The Opinion
"Who Are The Detholz?" is a rocking four track demo released by The Detholz! The songs are guitar-laden rock laced with more than a little sarcasm. Each song is different than the last. The only constant between them is that they all have a strong sense of entertainment to them. Each track leaves the listener hungry for more. Even the vocal stylings change dramatically between each track, going from falsetto to straight-up rock to a lounge singer from hell. But it always adds to the song and makes each one a distinct aural treat. The fact that the lyrics are clear is surprising considering how firmly planted in the cheek is their tongue. The Detholz! bill themselves as part of The VORTECS corporation bent on saving the human race through the "Science of the Senses." If "Who Are The Detholz?" is a sign of the future, be prepared to be saved. Redemption never sounded this good.
